Do you like puppies and sunshine? Guess what! There’s a job to suit your interests.
Wag!—which is a dog-walking app—needs more humans to walk dogs, and the company has announced it’s hiring in 29 cities.
Whether you’re on the market looking for a part-time gig or are in search of a full-time job, dog walking can earn you up to $25 an hour. Bonus—you’ll get plenty of exercise. Double bonus, your four-legged boss will be so, so happy to see you when you arrive for work. Plus, when is the last time your boss stopped to literally smell the roses?

Much like Uber, the Wag! app is location-based. If you’re a Wag! walker, you’ll get pinged when there are walks available nearby, and you can choose to accept them. Walks can be scheduled between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. every day.
To be considered, you’ll need to have an iPhone 5 or newer or an Android 4.2, enjoy working outside and like bonding with dogs. Dog walkers also have to be 18 years or older.
The application process includes a written application, phone interview and an in-person assessment at a public location, with hands-on tests to ensure you know how to put on leashes and harnesses.
But, before you start drooling over this dream job, know this: the application process is actually pretty competitive. According to Wag!, fewer than 5 percent of applicants make the cut to be a “Certified Walker.”
However, these are the 29 states where dog walkers are in demand. (Can you just picture dogs in these states waiting by the door with a leashes in their mouth, ready to go for walks?)
