What reviewers liked

The outer fleece cover is removable. It is a soft and gentle cover that will feel good on your skin. This pad comes with an easy to read LCD control, to set and regulate the temperature and time of use. The LCD screen does not light up so if you use the heating pad in the dark you have to turn your own light on to change the settings. You can see the temperature in degrees, not just low, medium and high temperature. You can also see the temperature as it heats up.
Amazingly, although it is a moist heating pad, it doesn’t need any water. Instead, it utilizes atmospheric moisture to administer deep muscle heat treatment. The digital control has LCD screen to enable easy monitoring of treatment temperatures. Ideal for various muscle pains.
It has an LCD screen with controls that can easily be operated by the user so as to control the temperature of the pad and the time. The heating pad is very efficient and gets heated up really fast. There is also the additional time LOCK-OUT feature that locks the controls to prevent the settings from being changed accidentally. The heating pad is convenient to use joint pain and strains, muscle strain and inflammation. People who suffer from back pains which occur due to overexertion could also find it useful in relieving the pain.
The BodyMed heating pad is our top pick because of its fast heating, ability to maintain high temperatures and overall ease of use. According to our data collected during testing in the open air, the BodyMed heating pad took an average time of about 12 minutes to heat up to its peak temperature, which is one of the faster ramp-up times among the heating pads we tested. Additionally, after reaching its peak temperature, this heating pad kept those high temperatures; its temperature decreased by less than a degree during the remainder of the hour of testing. When we actually placed this heating pad on the tester’s body, its maximum temperature was about 122°F.
Whereas most heating pads offer only dry heat, the BodyMed Digital Moist Heating Pad generates moist heat for improved muscle pain relief. The BodyMed Digital Moist Heating Pad produces its own humidity from the moisture in the air, creating a soothing, therapeutic moist heat. At a generous 14 inches x 27 inches, this heating pad is large enough to cover your entire back. Its user-friendly LCD control panel allows you to set the temperature and time, and its convenient lockout feature prevents these settings from being changed during the treatment.
The majority of the people using the digital moist heating pad by BodyMed claim it’s one of the best heating pads in the market. Quite a number say it heats up very fast and the temperature remains consistent throughout. The good heat dispersion provides relief for large areas and also conserves energy. Although it also offers moist therapy, many are surprised that no water is needed. Consumers also love the digital LCD controls for their simplicity.

With a moist heating pad, you usually have to fill a special compartment inside it with water before being able to use the moist heating option, or sometimes just to use the thing period. However, this heating pad gets around that problem by producing its own moisture from the humidity in the air and there is always humidity in the air, even if you don't feel it as much, so this pad always works.
Produces moisture from humidity in the air (Water not required). You can use it for multiple areas of the body plus it is available in 4 different sizes. (The package includes a soft fleece cover and instruction manual). It has a flexible shut-off that can be set in one-minute increments up to 60 minutes. It has a lock out feature to prevent unwanted adjustment of controls.
The BodyMed white digital electric moist heating pad works by drawing moisture from the air. This is an incredible feature and one that provides an extra level of safety to the user. I have found that the BodyMed moist heating pad is one of the more popular choices for the people suffering from inflammation, joint pain, sprains, muscle aches, and general muscle pain and fatigue. The heating pad delivers warmth in a systematic way and you can choose your preferred temperature through the digital LCD control. Which is simple to use.

What reviewers didn't like

The longest heat setting is 60 minutes. If you want to be able to keep your pad on longer than that, you may want to consider the Sunbeam XpressHeat, for example, which allows you to keep the pad consistently on. This is not the best heating pad if you plan to use it for your shoulder or neck area. It does not wrap very easily. If this is what you are looking for, take a look at a specific heating pad for your neck. Beeping sound – One of the complaints from customers is the beeping sound. If you doze off and are relaxed the last thing you want is a beeping sound to wake you up.
It did use a little bit more energy than most of the other electric heating pads.
LCD screen does not light up.
Pricey.
The product is fairly heavy so it might not loosely wrap around.
The automatic shut-off period is shorter than that of other models. 15 minutes may not be enough for everybody. The LCD display does not light up while in use which can be both good and bad depending on the scenario. For example, if you are in the dark and go no light source to adjust the settings, then no LCD light would be a disadvantage. The controller makes beeping noise that can be quite loud which could be annoying if you are a shift worker and use this pad late at night.
